ABOUT

The National Service Scheme of UIET KUK is an initiative to bring about a change in the Social and Economic forms of the Society.NSS believes that "Service to Mankind is Service to GOD" and with this mindset the members of NSS are ready to carve out humanity out of every social cause. The Scheme runs with a motive to inculcate Social Responsibilties in the youth who will be tomorrow's work force of the Nation at Institute Level is headed by the Programme Coordinator who give guidance to nearly 100 Enthusiastic and Energetic Volunteers.

WHAT WE DO ?

We hope to make a change in our society on a national level by inculcating thoughts of social welfare among the people. We wish towards building a beautiful world and spreading the message of environmental preservation, peace and education among today's youth. NSS UIET KUK works on a diverse range of social issues including blood donation, spreading awareness, environmental issues, spreading education at all levels, etc. NSS UIET KUK primarily aims to work for the betterment of society and instill the spirit of social service among the young students. It organizes blood donation camps, informative lectures on human values, surveys, guest lectures on general topics, and other such events regularly at all levels.

Motto

The Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the students development & appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings. The philosophy of the NSS is a good doctrine in this motto, which underlines on the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of the society as a whole and therefore, the NSS volunteers shall strive for the well-being of the society.

NSS Logo

The logo for the NSS has been based on the giant Rath Wheel of the world famous Konark Sun Temple (The Black Pagoda) situated in Orissa, India. The Red & Blue colors contained in the logo motivate the NSS Volunteers to be active & energetic for the nation-building social activities. The wheel portrays the cycle of creation, preservation and release and signifies the movement in life across time and space, The wheel thus stands for continuity as well as change and implies the continuous striving of NSS for social change.
